Mozart the Turtle

I just love Whipper Snapper Designs rubber stamps. They have so many different stamps often I have a hard time deciding which ones are coming to my house. My last visit to the website I bought Mozart and a few others to add to my ever growing stamp collection. Something about a turtle carrying a potted flower I can't resist.

Violets

This stamp is a Hampton Art rubber stamp I picked up at Joann's. I absolutely love violets and just had to have the stamp as soon as I saw it. Reminded me of when I was a little kid, I would go out and pick bunches and bunches of violets and fill every paper dixie cup in the house with little bouquets.

Daisy Bugg

At first glance you are probably thinking this little cutie is from Stamping Bella--close. It is actually a digital stamp from Tiddly Inks, an Etsy store owned by Christy Croll. She is also a designer for Stamping Bella. Her digital stamps are exclusive to Tiddly Inks.
I simply uploaded Daisy Bugg into a MS Word document, sized the image and printed it. It doesn't get any easier than that!
I used Copic markers to color the image and glitter pens to add a little sparkle to her wings and the flowers. The pattern paper is Songbird from DCWV. I added some texture with my Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers embossing folder! I have a few more of Christy's images to color and will post those soon! Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Pea Digital 2

Yesterday I posted a picture of a card I made using a Sassy Cheryl's digital stamp. I explained one of the nice things about using a digital stamp was the ability to import the image into MS Word and then the ability to resize the image. That is exactly what I did with this cute little girl. Yesterday's image was much larger than this little "Sweet Pea".

Sweet Pea Digital

Recently I started downloading some digital stamps. Truth of the matter is, I was looking for one more Winter/Christmas image and it was too late to order one and have it delivered.
Digital stamps are becoming quite popular and with a little bit of research (aka Google) you can even find some of your favorite rubber stamp artists also offer digital stamps. What is so great about digital stamps you ask? First off storage, they are stored in a file on your computer, no binders, boxes, or cd cases necesary. The second great thing about digital stamps is cost, sometimes 1/2 or 1/3 the cost of a traditional rubber stamp and no waiting for the stamp to arrive in the mail either. Another great thing about digital stamps is the ease of use. You simply purchase your desired stamp, download it and then import it into a MS Word document. Once you have your stamp in your Word document you are then able to resize the image. Added bonus with just a couple clicks of the mouse you can print several on a page depending on the size of the image.
If you are interested in trying digital stamps Pink Cat Studios has a free butterfly image as well as a great tutorial to guide you through the process.
