Christmas Cards

I finally found the time and managed to get some Christmas cards done. I usually only have time to make and send about a dozen, but this year I decided to try to make each one a little different (they can't be an Angie's Original if their all the same, right?), which took me a little longer. But even though I spent a lot more time on it, I really am happy with the results. The first card I made to send out this holiday season is stamped with an image from The Cat's Pajama's; couldn't resist the bear! He's so cute! I also used Spellbinders Nestablities, a few Copic markers, some festive patterned paper and embellishments and such from my stash. I'm trying to get out the last few, hopefully I'll have them all sent out in time! Wish me luck!

If you have been with me for while, you may have seen the new updates. I've added a link to Cutter's Creek and also added the Cutter's Creek Design Team badge to my site! I've been selected as a member of the new Cutter's Creek design team! I had to design a card using my talent and some pieces I had, then send the card to the team to try and become a member. The card at the left is the one I submitted, the card that got me on the team! I used some holiday paper and a REALLY cute stamp, which I am in love with, by the way. I am so excited. Kim, the owner of Cutter's Creek, has the BEST customer service in the world and I couldn't ask for a better company to design for. I am really looking forward to this great opportunity, will keep you updated as we get going, so please check back! Hopefully, I can come up with some great designs to earn my place on the Design Team!

Card Box

This is a Christmas gift for my mom. I thought that I'd make it easier on her to send cards to our family members during holidays like birthdays and such by making her a card box! I took a plain white metal box (that I have had for months, easy to get at any craft store), painted the top green with regular craft paint, attached the paper and ribbon along the box, then hot glued the buttons on. The buttons are from my stash, gathered from various craft stores with some loose change. They're really cheap and fun embellishments. I also made dividers for each month, noting family members' birthdays. Inside each divider, I put a card that I had made. I'm hoping that she can give a really nice card to one of her friends or family members on their birthday or something. Don't you think it turned out well?

Doodle Bird card

This card is one I made for my new granddaughter! When I saw her last, I bought her this toy bird that looks a LOT like this stamp, so when I saw it, I had to buy it and make this card for her! The bird stamp is from Stamps by Judith. Their stuff is so cute! The buttons are from my secret stash and I used a Stampin' Up corner punch on the regular white cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers. The Copic markers are REALLY great for filling in color for the images. The price is a little painful for the wallet, but the color goes on nice and smooth without any of the marks you get from regular markers. They were worth the money. My daughter was excited to know that they are the same markers the pros use to color anime characters. Cool, huh?

Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my blog! I have been working on scrapbooking and card-making for a few years, and now I'm working on some other stuff too! I hope to start posting some pictures of a few of the things I'm working on or that I have completed on this site. I make a lot of stuff for my family all times of the year, so this site should fill up fast! Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
