Wedding guest book alternative

I did a little research when helping my
oldest daughter plan her wedding. One of my favorite things was the idea of leaving love notes for the bride and groom instead of signing a guest book. (For the life of me I can't find the original idea--sorry). Anyways, this is my take on it. I simply wrote Love Notes out and printed it then cut it out and used a corner rounder punch and the notebook punch as well. Then I added lots and lots of tulle, finished it off with some ribbons on the handle and lots of pastel cardstock just waiting for the guests! Will make a great keepsake to put all the notes in a scrapbook after the ceremony!

Gift bag

This is one of the gift bags that I made for daughter's bridesmaids. Kept it pretty simple, used an old stamp I have had for years, colored it with copics. Then I cut the image out with a Nestabilities die and added some ribbon and a couple of layers of card stock.

Wedding Decorations

My oldest daughter is getting married soon, so I have been busy trying to finish some homemade decorations. She has a shabby chic decoration style so I did some research on Etsy and Pinterest and came up with a couple of ideas.
Instead of a box or basket for guests to drop cards in I decorated an old pail with some ribbon and netting and then made a card to stick in it. I layered the stamped image on some yellow cardstock and then layered it onto a Nestabilities die cut. I added some sparkle to the dress and flowers with stickles and added some detail to the Nestabilities die with some pearl accents.

This is the finished project!(Hope she likes it as much as I do!)
Thanks for looking!

Hey There!

This is another card I made using stamps from Taylored Expressions Green Acres set. I just love the little farmer! I colored all the images with copics and then cut them out. The haystacks and the farmer are popped up with dimensionals. The rolling hills I tore from a sheet of patterned paper. I think it is from My Mind's Eye but honestly it was sitting in a pile on my desk and I am not one hundred percent certain what pad it is from. The blue sky is some Bazzill cardstock and the clouds were cut with a cloud die from My Favorite Things and then embossed with the seeing spots cuttlebug folder. {The haystacks look a little crooked, not sure what is up with that other than the fact that I had to shove the card in my purse quick and scan it at work} In case you are trying to figure out where the Hey There blog post title came from, it is the sentiment that I stamped inside the card---but forgot to scan before I dropped it in the mail!
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great week!
