Chickie Birthday

This is a card for one of my dearest friends. She will be celebrating her birthday the end of the month and I am going to be on time with her card this year! Yeah Me.
I used the Happy Bird-day stamp from Denami Designs--I just love the little chickies.
Thanks for looking!

Mermaid Birthday Card

This birthday card is for my youngest daughter Hannah. She is fourteen years old today. Where does time go? Seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital! I was looking at Michelle Perkett's digital stamps the other day and Hannah spotted this one and commented how cute it was. Little did she know it would end up on the front of her birthday card. I colored her with copics and used spica glitter pens to add a little bit of sparkle.
Thanks for looking!

Simple Sentiment

I don't usually just stamp a sentiment without adding an image of some type but after reading this quote I didn't really think an image was necessary. I hope you'll agree.
The stamp is from Taylored Expressions called Discover Your Wings and I used Taylor's sketch challenge #120 again. The papers are from Basic Grey as is the flower. Stamped with memento ink and used a Nestabilities die.
Thanks for looking, have a great day!

Bloom

I finally pulled out my Garden Party Blooms stamp set from Taylored Expressions. I decided to keep this simple and didn't use even one copic marker this time. The sketch is from Taylor's blog (TESC 120). I used some memento inks to stamp the flowers and sentiment and used Nestabilities dies for both as well. Sometimes sweet and simple is just the ticket. Thanks for stopping, have a great day!

TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop

Put down the phone, no need to run to the eye doctor to have your eyes checked!!! That really is a Christmas tree!!! I know it seems way too early to start thinking about Christmas in July, but if I want to finish all the Christmas projects I have planned I have got to get started!!! Besides, what better way to kick off the 3rd blast from the past blog hop from Taylored Expressions than with a favorite Christmas stamp set of mine from the past called Wings of Joy.
I stamped it onto white cardstock, colored with copics and then cut it out with a Nestabilities oval die. I ran the pink paper through my cuttlebug with a snowflake embossing folder.
The great thing about this project is that it is not a card but actually a drawer box (tutorial on Split Coast Stampers can be found here (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/drawerbox/).
I am going to fill the drawer with matching Christmas gift tags and send to my Mom. My Mom is one of those truly magnificent gift wrappers. I swear I think she could even teach Miss Martha a thing or two. The Christmas packages under her tree are all works of art and I just know she will love adding handmade tags to her beautiful gifts. Thanks for stopping by and just in case you are still not convinced it is time to start Christmas projects...only 157 days to go!

Happy Independence Day!!!

Before I get to the details about my card I wanted to take a minute and thank all of those who have served or are currently serving in our military, both at home and overseas to ensure that we all have our freedom. I think sometimes we tend to lose sight of what Independence Day truly represents. If you have a chance take a minute and reflect upon just how lucky we are to be American's!!! BTW as the very proud wife of an active duty member of the USAF I also would like to add an extra special thank you to all the friends and family members (Moms, Dads, Wives, Husbands, you know who you are) supporting all of our great service members!!! They couldn't do their very important jobs without your support!

I will hop down off my soapbox now and tell you a little about my card. This is for my granddaughter, to remind her how much her Mimi misses her. The digital stamp is from Sassy Cheryl's and the paper is from We Are Memory Keepers. Added the star border with a MS punch.
Enjoy the holiday!

Mixing It Up!

I saw this stamp on another blog and had to have it. She is cute, cute, cute! This card is for my older sister's birthday. Actually, she is my only sister but I like to throw the older part in as often as I can! Payback for all the times growing up she told me I was too young.
Before I tell you where the stamp came from, I must warn you. The site has a ton of cute stuff that you will have to have immediately. Everything on there is adorable and I do have to say quite a bit of it is now home in my stamp room! Now that you have been sufficiently cautioned, the stamp is from Lily of the Valley. The patterned paper is from a DCWV paper pad!
Happy Birthday big sis'
