I had some time over the long holiday weekend to play in my stamp room. I inked a new TCP set, Soar. I like the versatility of this set, it includes some Christmas sentiments but can also be used year round.
I colored the rocket propelled bunny with copics and then used The Deconstructed Sketch for the layout. The papers are from an old October Afternoon pad. I used a TCP star die for the blue stars and a zig zag die from MFT for the blue strip.

Last One
I am a huge Jen Del Muro fan. She is one of the most creative people! I have followed her blog for a while now and this year I was finally able to participate in each of this year's Sketch For You To Try. Unfortunately, Jen is taking a break from her SFYTT, not sure if it is permanent or not, I for one am hoping it isn't!
Anyways, this is my card for the December sketch, simple but cute. I wish the rhinestones on the tree had photographed better, but you get the idea! The stamp is from Taylored Expressions and the papers are from a stack of scraps on my stamp desk--I think most if not all are MME!

In the nick of time
This is my entry for Jen Del Muro's monthly Sketch for you to try. It is actually the November sketch, so I am just going to make it. The stamp is from Whipper Snapper and the paper is from a Christmas stack on my desk, I think it is Simple Stories. I colored my frosty friend with copics and then used an oval spellbinders die to cut him out. I ran the light brown/tan through my embosser with a cuttlebug seeing spots folder and cut the green with a MFT die.

Just For You
I decided to make a shaped card for this adorable PJ image. I cut the brown card and the yellow and green layers with a Spellbinders labels eight. I inked the edges of the yellow and added dots with a cuttlebug folder to the green. I hand cut PJ out and popped him up with some dimensionals. I finished the card off with a button and some twine and then stamped the sentiment onto a Spellbinders lacey circles die.

Go Forth & Eat Cake
It has been a while since I have pulled this long eared cutie out and gotten him inky, but I am so glad that I did. I colored the image with copics and added just a little sparkle to the blue icing with a spica glitter pen. The patterned paper is from Simple Stories Harvest Lane collection layered onto a piece of cardstock punched with a SU scallop border punch. Love the fall colors. Added some brown pearls to the sentiment flag and then finished it off with a matching bow.

Happy Birthday Pam!
A very close family friend is celebrating a birthday this week. She is one of my daughter's very best friends and takes excellent care of our Granddaughter while my daughter and son in law work. So, I couldn't let her birthday pass without sending a card!
I picked up this Some Odd Girl image a couple of weeks ago--knowing that you can never have too many birthday stamps! I colored the image with copics. The gorgeous red flowered paper is from Simple Stories Harvest Lane and the blue plaid is from My Mind's Eye On the Sunny Side. I used a MFT Fishtail Flag Stax die and a scalloped die as well. The pearls were white so I colored them to match!

Fa-Boo-Lous
I love the new Halloween set from Taylored Expressions! I sat down over the weekend and made a bunch of Halloween cards. Each one a little different, but simple and quick! Love it when that happens! On each card I colored the image with copics and then added some glitter and rhinestones. The black polka dot paper was laying on my desk--I think it is Jenni Bowlin but I am not certain.
I added some orange rhinestones to the buckles on the shoes and ran the green paper through my Sizzix with my Cuttlebug seeing spots embossing folder.
For this one I used a die to cut the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor paper and then added a layer of tulle. I finished the shoes with a green spica glitter pen.

I Spy Sketches
This is my first attempt at the I Spy Sketches challenge. I pulled out a set that hasn't seen ink in a looong time. The chef is from Inky Antics Garnishing Chefs set. Isn't he adorable? For some reason every time I look at him I hear a thick Italian accent in my head!
I colored him with copics and added a little sparkle with a glitter pen. After I finished coloring and layering the image I set out to make the background. I used my new Spellbinders Square Swatches die for the patterned paper and then cut the white, black, and grey squares on my trimmer. The red check paper is from my Simple Stories Summer Fresh pad and the black polka dot is from Jenni Bowlin called Haven. I added a flag banner with the sentiment and a red button tied with twine to finish it off.

TSG Birthday Celebration Day 3
What is this five posts in less than a week? Yep. I told you I had a lot of stamping time this weekend! Been a long time since I have had this much free stamping time.
Day Three's challenge was an inspiration picture. I pulled out the My Little Friend set and got to work. I colored the little gnome with copics and then cut him out with a Spellbinders circle die. With the die still in place I drew a black circle around him. I used a scallop punch on some My Mind's Eye Nostalgia paper and then added a scalloped border with some pink pearls.

TSG Birthday Challenge Day 2
This is my day two challenge card for the TSG birthday challenge. The challenge was to make a birthday themed card or project for the man or boy in your life. I pulled out my Oh Crop set and got to work. I colored the images with copics and then fussy cut them out. I love the cow! (Must be the little bit of Nebraska I still have left in me!) And what is a farmer without a cow?
I cut the sky and pasture with a die and then inked the edges to give some dimension. The clouds were cut with a die and then embossed. It is hard to tell from the picture but I popped the farmer, cow, and barn up with pop dots. I used the "Oh crop I almost forgot" sentiment on the inside.

TSG Birthday Challenge Day 4
Believe it or not I was able to complete all five challenges for There She Goes Birthday Celebration. I have been able to spend quite a bit of time in my stamp room over the weekend, it has been a while since I have been able to do that. Each day a different challenge was posted so I will post all five of the cards I made. If you haven't figured out yet I won't be posting them in the order the challenges were given, just in case you are keeping track!
The challenge for day four was to use banners on a birthday card. Easy peasy right? I pulled out my Scent-sational set and got inky. I colored the sweet little skunk with copics and then layered the image onto a scalloped oval die cut with a Spellbinders die. The banners were cut with a flag die and then folded over some twine. The patterned paper is Echo Park Hello Summer. Love the bright colors!

TSG Birthday Celebration Day 5
The challenge for There She Goes Stamps birthday celebration for day five is to use at least three embellishments on a birthday card. I wanted to go a little outside the box, but I think this cute little scientist is perfect to wish someone a birthday. He is from the TSG set Cutie Pi, and happens to be one of my daughter's absolute favorite sets from TSG. I stamped the image and then colored him with colics. I cut the image out and then layered it onto a blue rectangle. I used a die to cut the oval and then stamped What's the matter? before adding some buttons. The green paper bow was cut with a die and layered onto a strip of Basic Grey Oliver patterned paper.

TSG Birthday Challenge Day 1
There She Goes Stamps is celebrating their fourth birthday this week. Each day this week is a different birthday themed challenge. Monday's challenge was to use numbers. I don't have a TSG stamp set with numbers so I stamped the cake image and then used some Thickers numbers that I have had laying around for ages. I used Jen Del Muro's idea for mounting the pearls on some cardstock circles to make them stand out a little more. The patterned paper is Simple Stories Harvest Lane--love it. Definitely a different color combo for me, but I like it.

So Tweet
I used this adorable little bird stamp set to make some thank you notes. My daughter needed a few to send for birthday gifts and I was running behind--what else is new. I think I got the stamp from Michael's (it has a ditto label on it). I colored the birds with copics and then added some of my favorite Echo Park Hello Summer patterned paper. I used a QuicKutz Bloom embossing folder on the bright blue paper to add a little pop of color and texture. Some of the cards got rhinestones for a little bling.
And some did not! More clean and simple, but cute!
Thanks for looking!

Uptown Girl Ava
I bought this Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Ava Loves To Celebrate stamp a while ago. I haven't had a chance to get it inky until this week, my Mom's birthday! I colored her with copics and added some subtle hints of sparkle to the cake and gifts with a Gelly Roll Clear Star Pen. The patterned paper is from Echo Park Hello Summer (love this collection). I used a MFT fishtail flags die namic for the flag. Pretty clean and simple but I love the way the colors really come together.

Sweet Sixteen
I am not quite sure how it happened, but my baby turned sixteen today. SIXTEEN!!! Holy cow! I made the card above with a Tiddly Inks Wren image. I kept it pretty clean and simple adding some Echo Park Hello Summer patterned paper and a strip of green that I ran through my cuttlebug with a Sizzix embossing folder.
Happy Birthday Chiefette!

Happy Birthday!
I found this adorable little girl with all the gifts on the table in my stamp room. I think it is a Digi Stamp Boutique image, but I am not certain.
I colored the image with copics and then cut it out. I layered the image onto some Simple Stories Summer Fresh patterned paper--I love the bright chevrons. I added some buttons and some red jewels from my stash and finished it off with a Happy Birthday sentiment cut out with a SU punch.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend and try to stay cool!

What's The Matter
This adorable little scientist is from There She Goes Cutie Pi set. My youngest daughter is very into science, and this set reminds me of her. I colored the image with copics and then added some sparkle to her googles and test tube with a spica glitter pen. I used some of my new My Mind's Eye Nostalgia patterned paper pad and then added the sentiment. The ribbons and buttons are from my stash. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Bee Happy
This beautiful little bee is from There She Goes Clear Stamps. The challenge this week is wings. Easy peasy lemon squeezy right? I colored the bee with copics and then added some spica glitter to his wings. The flower shaped card base was cut with my Nestabilities Blossom Tags and Accents. See the dots--the holes are in the die, simply hold it in place after cutting the shape. I used a Sizzix embossing folder on the gray card stock and then used some My Minds Eye Nostalgia paper. I am loving the gray and yellow together with all the layers.

S'Up Grill-Friend
This has got to be one of my favorite stamp sets this year! They are from the Alfresco set from Paper Smooches. You'll be seeing more of this set soon. I had never heard of Paper Smooches until I saw some of the Alfresco stamps on a blog. Instantly I knew they had to be mine. I have made two different cards with the S'Up Grill-Friend sentiment. The first one using patterned paper from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh pad. I inked the edges and then added the flag of patterned paper and the sentiment. I finished it with the gorgeous hamburger.
The second card was made with the same stamps, but instead of the picnicky red and white checks I used black, white and red. I added some spica glitter to the smoke and grill. The ribbon and black brad are from my stash.

Just Married
One of my youngest daughter's favorite teachers is getting married over the summer. So I was tasked with making a wedding card for her. The stamp is from a wedding set from Digi Stamp Boutique. I printed it out and colored it with copics. I used a Sizzix embossing folder and some twine and ribbon from my stash to keep it clean and simple.

Little Girls
As soon as I saw this Stamping Bella Anastasia stamp I immediately thought of my girls. Not sure if it is the curls plopped on top of her little head or the glasses or maybe both. I colored her with copies and gave her a nice bunch of red curls. I added grey and green to her dress. I cut the patterned paper strips with a MFT Fish Tail Flags Die-namic. The flower was cut with a die and finished with a black rhinestone center.
