this image is from MelJen's Designs. I found her on Paper Craft Planet and just love her stuff. I saw this frog with the mouse riding along on top and just had to have it. I colored the image with copics and added some sparkle with spica glitter pens. I used some of my new Bazzill swiss dots card stock and punched the edge with a MS punch. Used an EK Success corner punch for the pink corners. The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Kioshi line (Jasmine and Olive) and I think it goes perfectly with the frog. The ribbon and button are from my stash. Thanks for stopping by and as always comments are appreciated!

Froggy Ride
Seems like no matter how hard I try I can't keep the blog updates coming on a regular basis. Not for lack of trying, just seems like life gets in the way. Hoping to improve and post on a much more frequent basis.

Cherry Bugg Birthday Card
I just love this little cutie from Tiddly Inks. She is called Cherry Bugg and has a stack of cupcakes as high as she is tall. Isn't that every one's birthday wish?
I colored her with copics then cut the image out with a large circle Nestabilities die. Then layered the image onto a large scalloped circle. I ran the purple cardstock through my Cuttlebug with a Sizzix embossing folder and layered it all onto some new Basic Grey Kioshi patterned paper. Finally I topped the cupcakes with some lavender glitter and added a red rhinestone for the cherry on top! Have a great weekend!

Birthday Card For My Husband
If you read my profile you will notice that I lovingly label my hubby as my best friend, because he truly is. I can't remember what my life was like before he walked in and I can't imagine what it would be like without him. I truly am the luckiest girl in the whole world. We do everything together, even if it is a weekend away at a CKC event or just a long drive to the only scrapbook store still open in my neck of the woods he is there. Never complains, even when I spend more than I should or skip making dinner or folding laundry to make one more card. He loves to see all my creations and reads my blog as well. Did I tell you what a great hubby he is?? Happy Birthday Sweetie, hope you have a great day! Love you!
I used a digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl's for the image, colored with copics and used spica glitter pens and a gelly roll clear glaze pen. The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary and October Afternoon Fly a Kite. Did you notice the zigzag stiching?? Yep I bought a sewing machine and after watching some very helpful videos from Gina K's Stamp TV I was sewing in less than an hour. Oh, and the bow...yep I pulled out the Bow Easy from it's package, watched Gina K demo it as well and after a few tries was able to fashion that gorgeous green bow!

Taylored Expressions Blast From the Past
Taylored Expressions is hosting a blog hop today. The idea behind the blog hop is that you will pull out some of your 'older' Taylored Expressions stamps and put them to use. I did just that and grabbed my 'The Places You'll Go' set. I love, love, love this set. It has some cute, simple designs and some great quotes from children's books including some Dr. Seuss classics, Where the Wild Things Are and the one I used from "Guess How Much I Love You". I remember reading it many times to my youngest daughter and recently picked up a new one to send to my daughter to read to our granddaughter. The card will go perfectly!
Image is Taylored Expressions The Places You'll Go Stamp Set
Colored with Copics and Spica Glitter Pens
Patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary as well as October Afternoon's Fly A Kite
I also used Nestabilities Large Scallop Circle and Large Standard Circles
The paper flowers are Backyard Blossoms (have had a very long time)
and finally the brads are from my stash!
Thanks for stopping by!

Book Worm
As soon as I saw this image from Tiddly Inks I immediately thought of my youngest daughter. She has been reading since Kindergarten and always seems to be deeply engrossed in two or three books at the same time. With summer coming we will start making our weekly visits to our local library.
The image is from Tiddly Inks called Versa Bug
I colored the image with Copics and used a spica glitter pen and a white gel pen t add some highlights
The patterned paper is some of my new Basic Grey Kioshi paper ( I love the greens and purples)
I also used Nestabilities Labels One and a Cuttlebug With Love embossing folder.

Back Up and Running!
If you are a follower of my blog you may be wondering where I have been the last ten days. I wish I could tell you some great story about a vacation to Hawaii or Aruba but truth be told my absence was related to a technical error.
We lost internet service for a while (see my absence is truly excused) but we have a new ISP and everything seems to be in working order again.
Remember what we did before we became so reliant on technology?
Me neither!

Confirmation Card
This is a card for my niece MJ, she is celebrating her Confirmation this week.
I used a Taylored Expressions stamp for the flowers and then stamped the verse in memento ink onto vellum. I had to stamp it several times to get it just right and then hit it quick with a heat gun to set it. I added some eyelets and a little bit of ribbon. I wanted to keep it simple so the message wouldn't be lost in a bunch of embellishments.
Thanks for stopping by!

In the Mail
I love these simple images from Pure Innocence. Sometimes clean and simple is the way to go. I colored her with copics and then glittered up her pockets with a Spica Glitter pen. I ran the red solid cardstock through my Cuttlebug with a Sizzix embossing folder. I cut the image and the solid yellow cardstock out with Nestabilities Labels 1. I added a little detail with a white gel pen around the edge. The patterned paper is another of my favorites from the My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary line called Jack and Jill Life is Good. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Mother's Day Card
This little cutie is for my daughter for Mother's Day. She has a one year old daughter and when I saw this image I thought of her. Annie's Bear is another adorable image from Tiddly Inks. If you haven't been to Christie's new online store yet, plan to get there soon, she has some of the cutest stuff out there and is adding weekly.
I colored Annie and her little teddy bear with copics, added some detail with Atyou Spica glitter pens. Don't you just love her sparkly green shoes? Once again I pulled out the My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary papers, this time I used Mary, Mary "Beautiful". I absolutely love this line of papers. I added some ribbon and buttons from my stash and used an EK Success corner punch to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day
This is the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. I can't believe it is just a week away, where has the year gone? I just love the Annie images from Tiddly Inks, Christie does such amazing work. It is hard to go to her store and pick just one! I have heard lots of great things about Georgia Pacific cardstock available at Wal-Mart and I have to say I am quite pleased with the results and the price can't be beat. I colored Annie with copic markers and added some detail with Atyou Spica Glitter pens.
The patterned paper is from a pad from October Afternoon called "The Thrift Shop". I used a MS punch for the loops and an EK Success corner punch as well. I added a Kaiser rhinestone to set off the flower in her hair. Think my Mom will love to see Annie in her mailbox.
