New Home

My mom moved into a new apartment last week so I decided to make her a little welcome home card.
I saw this stamp at the Stamps By Judith booth at a recent scrapbook/stamp show and immediately thought of my mom's new place. One of the first things she did after arriving at the new place was to hang her bird feeder so what better way to welcome her than with a trio of cute, quirky bird houses?
I have decided to make my life a little easier that from now on I will note where the stamp is from and the type of paper and any important details but I don't think it is necessary each and every time to list every little thing. If you see something you like and just have to have it, shoot me a quick email and I will let you know!
Have a great week!

Princess of your heart!!

Yep! You guessed it! Another kyuuuuuuute image from Tiddly Inks. Isn't she just adorable???
I have been coloring more and more with purples lately and as soon as I saw her I knew exactly what colors I wanted. I think her skirt matches the Bo Bunny patterned paper just beautifully.
I bought the acrylic crown a loooong time ago, so I was really glad to finally put it to good use, I think it adds just a little something extra special.
Thanks for stopping!

Taylored Expressions Blast From the Past Blog Hop

The first Taylored Expressions customer blog hop was such a hit, she decided to do another one. I love her stamp sets! This cute little cupcake is from the Sprinkled With Love set. I stamped the cupcake three times in a row and then colored with Copics. I added glossy accents to make the chocolate icing look a little more realistic. Who doesn't love chocolate icing???
I stamped the "you're such a sweetie" sentiment with white ink onto the pink paper to make my own designer paper. I cut the image out and punched the corners with a SU corner punch. I tied the brown bow with my Bow Easy--if you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend it. I even decorated the inside of the card; I have been trying to do that more often.
I added a cupcake and stamped the sentiment once more, this time on the cocoa brown cardstock. Thanks for stopping by!

Daddy's Girl

In case you haven't figured it out already this is another digital stamp from Tiddly Inks. Isn't she cute???
I colored her with copics and then layered her on a double mat stack. She looked kind of plain so I added the green cardstock corner and then added the blue and green cardstock to the card front. I wanted to keep the card from getting too cutesy because it is for my daughter to give her dad on his special day. Instead of ribbon I added some eyelets and some twine and the orange tab.

Sweet!

This is another Tiddly Inks image. I have colored her in my favorite colors pink and green.
The patterned paper is Basic Grey Kioshi. I added some sewing to this card, I am still a newbie on the sewing machine but it is getting better. All those little "mistakes" it was makes it original right???
The image was colored with copics and spica glitter pens and cut out with a Nestabilities die.
I added the different pink ribbons as a contrast and then topped it off with the sweet stamp (from the Michael's dollar bin) and some prima flowers.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Sending you a little happy!

A while back I joined the Unity Stamp club, once a month I receive a stamp set in the mail. The great thing is that most of the stamps I love but there are some that are going to make me think outside the box a bit, and that is ok too. It helps to keep things fresh and new. I don't know that I would have ever bought the parachute and matching sentiment but now I really love it. I originally made up this set of cards to send to friends and family giving them our new phone number and e-mail addresses. We have had to change both several times recently and I thought that maybe a card would ease the address book editing a bit. Only problem is now that they are done I am thinking they might make a good gift! Have to think about it for a while!
The image is stamped onto white cardstock with memento ink and then cut with a Nestabilities die and layered. The patterned paper is from Three Bugs in a Rug called Spread Your Wings. On the inside of the cards I used some corner punches and added some rhinestones and brads.
Thanks for looking!

Bear Hug

This little cutie squeezing the stuffing out of the little bear is from MelJen's Designs. One of the great things about MelJen's Designs (aside from the cuteness factor) is that they are digital images, which allows me to change the size of the image.
I colored the image with Copics and then highlighted the hearts with a spica glitter pen. I added some chalk around the edge of the image to add some dimension so that it didn't get lost in all the Basic Grey patterned papers. I embossed the bold green cardstock with a Sizzix Swirls and Waves embossing folder.
Thanks for stopping by.

Another Teddie

This is another card I made with the Daisy Chain Teddie stamp from Elzybells Art Stamps.
I colored this one with a darker brown copic than the card I posted earlier this week.
The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Kioshi line. The ribbon and buttons are from my stash. I used a Nestabilities die for the blue scalloped square and used chalk for the blue sky and green grass. I dotted the flowers centers with liquid pearls. An idea I scraplifted from Elizabeth's blog.
Have a great weekend!

Birthday Baker

This is a card for my niece's upcoming birthday. It is kind of funny to think of our siblings as parents sometimes, especially as their kids get older.
I got the digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl's. She has the cutest line of bakers. Something about a triple stack of cupcakes grabbed my attention.
I colored her with copics and added glitter with spica pens then added some glossy accents to her bowl and the cupcakes. I used some Queen & Co. pearls on her dress and for the cherry on top of the cupcake. The pink ric rac is from my stash. The green corners were punched with an EK Success punch. The patterned paper is some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday (Sunday) that I have had for a while.
Hope you are having a great week!

Flower Girl

This is one of my favorites from Tiddly Inks, it is from the Gothic Cute collection and she is called Always the Flower Girl. As soon as I saw her I couldn't help thinking her dress needed to be purple. I am a big fan of pink but for some reason purple came to mind right away.

I colored her with copics and added some detail to her flowers and her black boots with spica glitter pens. The patterned paper is from the new Bo Bunny collection, called Peacock Lane Ivy. As luck would have it I actually colored the image before I found the paper, doesn't work out like that very often. I used a MS border punch on the teal cardstock and some ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Teddie Bear

I have followed Elizabeth's blog for quite a while, she is the owner of Elzybell's Art Stamps. I placed my first order a few weeks ago and was not disappointed. The teddies are even cuter in real life than online and with the last name of Bear I am quite particular! The image is called Daisy Chain Teddie, reminds me of when I was a kid and chaining dandelions together.
The patterned paper is from the Fancy Pants Family Line this one is "Mother". I colored the image with copics, dotted the flower centers with liquid pearls and then colored the sky and grass with chalk (thanks for the tip Elizabeth). I cut the image out with a Nestablities die and layered it on top of another. The flowers and rhinestones are from Queen & Co. and the ribbon is from my stash. Thanks for looking!
