Love you bunches

This little cutie is from Anita Be Stamping called Bears and Bunches. I just love her little skirt and bow. I have been following Jen Del Muro's blog for quite some time and recently she went to monthly sketches so this little cutie will be making her way there. I embossed the orange card stock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, used a SU punch for the scallops and added the gems for a little twinkle. I stamped the inside with the Love you bunches sentiment that was included in the stamp set, but I forgot to photograph the inside!
If you have a chance, stop by Anita Be Stamping--some really cute stamps to be had.

Lacie the school girl

This little cutie is all ready for school. She even has an apple for the teacher! She is another adorable image from By Lori Designs. I made this card for Lori's weekly challenge. I am not great at challenges--not sure if it the rules involved or just the deadlines--but I'm trying. I like that Lori's are simple, the last few have just been color challenges; good way to use colors together you may not have thought of.
Anywho...I colored Lacie with copics and then added just a little sparkle to her apple. I used a Nestabilities die to cut the image out and then layered it onto solid blue and green card stock. The patterned paper is from a pile on my desk and the ribbon and buttons are from my stash.
This little lady will be in the mail this week to a family member who was just accepted in a private Catholic high school with a well deserved partial scholarship to boot.

Love You Mower!!!

This is my hubby's Valentine's day card. He usually reads my blog so I waited until the last minute to post it.
He has a love/hate relationship with lawn mowers. He loves to be outside and doesn't mind mowing our yard, but, and it is a really big but, he hasn't had much luck with lawn mowers as of late. Last summer he not only broke ours but after borrowing our neighbors broke theirs too. (figured out later that it wasn't really his fault about the neighbors lawn mower but doesn't make it any less frustrating). Imagine driving home and pulling the car into the driveway to find two broken lawn mowers in front of the garage, parts everywhere an aircraft mechanic, an electrician and a police officer with puzzled looks wondering what on earth could have gone wrong; that was me sitting in the car trying to figure out what exactly the hubby and his buddies had done and how much it was going to cost to remedy the situation.

I stamped the inside and then added a chipboard heart that I colored with copics.
Thanks for looking, Happy Valentine's Day!

Birthday Princess

This is a Pure Innocence stamp from My Favorite Things.
She is so darn cute with her cake and beautiful birthday crown. I colored her with copics and paper pieced her dress; I don't paper piece very often but I am very happy with the result.
I seem to always pair green with pink, but this time used a new combo of purple and green. Might have to use this combo a little more often!

Just My Type

This is a brand spanking new stamp set from a fairly new stamp company called Lawn Fawn. I actually saw her CHA booth on tons of blogs and web posts and knew I had to check out her website. Kelly Jo has some of the freshest, cutest stamps around. To top it off, shipping is just three bucks, yep you read that right three bucks. I placed my order right as CHA was coming to a close and still received it in three days! That is some of the best customer service ever!
This image and sentiment are from the Just My Type set and I decided a new stamp set called for a new color combo. I am a huge fan of pink and absolutely love it paired with green; but this time I used some shades of pink and green that are a little out of my comfort zone. The orange border
added just the right amount of pop
and matches perfectly
with the centers of the flowers.
If you have a chance,
be sure to stop by Lawn Fawn and say hi to
Kelly Marie!

Pizza my heart

This has got to be one of my all time
favorite stamps from High Hopes. If you have never been to their website; be sure to check it out.
The pizza chef is called Luigi and he is carrying a beautiful heart shaped pizza. (Remember that saying, best way to a man's heart...)
I colored him with copics and decided to leave his chef coat and pants white and just highlight a bit.
I used the red plaid paper and dotted black along with some checked paper tape. I added some silver brads to the corners to finish it off.
I stamped the inside with the coordinating verse, "you have a pizza my heart".
Think he makes a perfect Valentine's Day card.

This is the page from my calendar for February. I can't believe it is February already, where does the time go?
I used some Valentines Day paper from my stash and another of my favorite Chicks from Denami Designs.
I shared all the info on how I made the calendar on an earlier post, if you missed it you can find it here.
