Card Box
This is a Christmas gift for my mom. I thought that I'd make it easier on her to send cards to our family members during holidays like birthdays and such by making her a card box! I took a plain white metal box (that I have had for months, easy to get at any craft store), painted the top green with regular craft paint, attached the paper and ribbon along the box, then hot glued the buttons on. The buttons are from my stash, gathered from various craft stores with some loose change. They're really cheap and fun embellishments. I also made dividers for each month, noting family members' birthdays. Inside each divider, I put a card that I had made. I'm hoping that she can give a really nice card to one of her friends or family members on their birthday or something. Don't you think it turned out well?

Great idea! I love how you altered the box!
Great idea! Very cute!!
Hmmmmm.....
Very stylish. The paper color goes very well with the exterior of the box while the buttons add a nice embellishment and make the whole thing look more....finished. The overall design is ingenious; the box is very well made. I hope your mother thoroughly enjoys the nice piece you made her.
Great Work,
