Lettuce Celebrate

First off let me apologize for the horrible picture. I had to get this in the mail so that it would reach my daughter in time for her New Year's Day birthday. I was ready to stuff it in the envelope and then remembered I needed a photo. Best I could do was a quick one with my phone.
I love this card. Simple but the heads of lettuce are so cute. I thought there was a little too much space on the brown base so I added the blue ric rac and love the end result--just a little pop of color.

Roll With It

The Calorie Free stamp set from Paper Smooches has to be one of my favorites. I also bought the dies that go with it. Makes stamping and cutting a breeze! I love the puny sentiments and the images are a cinch to color.

More Best Witches

This is another Halloween card I made using the Tiddly Inks digital stamp. I added some more of the super cute Halloween Parade paper from Doodlebug and added some fluffy black ruffled trim. The green and purple dots are liquid pearls.

Best Witches

I used a Tiddly Inks digital stamp for my Halloween cards this year. She is so darn cute! I colored her with copics and then added some highlights with a white gel pen and a glitter pen. The patterned paper is from the Doodlebug Designs Halloween Parade pad. The black and orange sprinkles are also from Doodlebug.

Thanks Bunches!

It's the last week of school for my youngest daughter. It is so hard to believe how fast high school is flying by. Seems like just yesterday she was hopping on the bus to Pre-K and waving good-bye to her Dad and I. I tried to thank some of her teachers this year, we really wanted to remind them they are important and to thank them for all their hard work. I started with a card. The little cutie with the flowers hiding behind her back is Rosie Posy from Lili of the Valley. Isn't she the cutest? I colored her with copics and then cut the image out with a circle Nestabilities die. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Collectable collection called Notable. I love the oranges and blues in this stack!

Next I worked on decorating a glass jar. I put a band on solid cardstock around it and then added some flowers, a label cut with Verve's Classy Label Die and a chipboard V for the teacher's initial.

On the other side of the jar, I stamped the sentiment and added more blue rhinestones in the corner of the label.
I finished the top of the jar with more of the flowers cut with the Plentiful Petals die from My Favorite Things.  I love how the layers add dimension. The green scalloped circle was cut with a Nestabilities die and I added some rhinestones to really make the flowers pop. I filled the jar with chocolate chocolate chip cookies!

Cutie Pie

I made this simple little card for Gracie. It has been a while since I have sent anything to her and I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her. The stamp is from a Valentine's Day set from Lawn Fawn. I have had it for a while, but I haven't used it recently. Simple images like this make it a snap to put together a card! I colored the image with copics and then used a spica glitter pen to add some sparkle to the steam coming out of the pie.

I used a die from My Favorite Things to layer the sentiment on the inside of the card. I added some blue rhinestones to accent the patterned paper.

What a week

I was so glad to get in my stamp room this weekend. The flu stormed through our house last week and between taking care of a sick husband and child and then getting a terrible cold myself I didn't know if it was going to happen this weekend or not. After trying three different pharmacies my hubby finally scored some Sudafed and I am feeling darn near one hundred percent!
On to my card today. The layout is Deconstructed Sketch 85. I really like this one. I used one of my new stamps from Paper Smooches called Cuteasaurus! Dinosaurs are still really popular with kids, especially my teenage daughter! I colored the little dino with copics and then layered the image onto a red square swatch (spellbinders). I found the patterned paper in a pile of scraps. I wish I knew the manufacturer. I stamped the sentiment on green cardstock cut with a MFT bracket die.
Hopefully this week will be much better and I will get more time in my stamp room.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Smarty Pants

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this adorable little girl! I love everything about this stamp set from There She Goes. From her little shoes, to the untucked shirt to the glasses with a piece of tape in the middle to the bow in her hair! She is just so darn cute!!! I colored her with colics and then layered the image onto an oval cut with a Spellbinders scalloped oval die. The delicious papers are from Imaginisce and they are perfect for this stamp set. I added some twine and a button from my stash. The red flags were cut with a MFT fishtail banner die and topped off with some black pearls.
Close up shot of Smarty Pants with a little spica glitter on her bow and tape on her glasses!

Soar

I had some time over the long holiday weekend to play in my stamp room. I inked a new TCP set, Soar. I like the versatility of this set, it includes some Christmas sentiments but can also be used year round.
I colored the rocket propelled bunny with copics and then used The Deconstructed Sketch for the layout. The papers are from an old October Afternoon pad. I used a TCP star die for the blue stars and a zig zag die from MFT for the blue strip.

In the nick of time

This is my entry for Jen Del Muro's monthly Sketch for you to try. It is actually the November sketch, so I am just going to make it. The stamp is from Whipper Snapper and the paper is from a Christmas stack on my desk, I think it is Simple Stories. I colored my frosty friend with copics and then used an oval spellbinders die to cut him out. I ran the light brown/tan through my embosser with a cuttlebug seeing spots folder and cut the green with a MFT die.

Just For You

I decided to make a shaped card for this adorable PJ image. I cut the brown card and the yellow and green layers with a Spellbinders labels eight. I inked the edges of the yellow and added dots with a cuttlebug folder to the green. I hand cut PJ out and popped him up with some dimensionals. I finished the card off with a button and some twine and then stamped the sentiment onto a Spellbinders lacey circles die. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Pam!

A very close family friend is celebrating a birthday this week. She is one of my daughter's very best friends and takes excellent care of our Granddaughter while my daughter and son in law work. So, I couldn't let her birthday pass without sending a card!
I picked up this Some Odd Girl image a couple of weeks ago--knowing that you can never have too many birthday stamps! I colored the image with copics. The gorgeous red flowered paper is from Simple Stories Harvest Lane and the blue plaid is from My Mind's Eye On the Sunny Side. I used a MFT Fishtail Flag Stax die and a scalloped die as well. The pearls were white so I colored them to match!

Fa-Boo-Lous

I love the new Halloween set from Taylored Expressions! I sat down over the weekend and made a bunch of Halloween cards. Each one a little different, but simple and quick! Love it when that happens!  On each card I colored the image with copics and then added some glitter and rhinestones. The black polka dot paper was laying on my desk--I think it is Jenni Bowlin but I am not certain.
I added some orange rhinestones to the buckles on the shoes and ran the green paper through my Sizzix with my Cuttlebug seeing spots embossing folder.
For this one I used a die to cut the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor paper and then added a layer of tulle. I finished the shoes with a green spica glitter pen.

I Spy Sketches

This is my first attempt at the I Spy Sketches challenge. I pulled out a set that hasn't seen ink in a looong time. The chef is from Inky Antics Garnishing Chefs set. Isn't he adorable? For some reason every time I look at him I hear a thick Italian accent in my head!
I colored him with copics and added a little sparkle with a glitter pen. After I finished coloring and layering the image I set out to make the background. I used my new Spellbinders Square Swatches die for the patterned paper and then cut the white, black, and grey squares on my trimmer. The red check paper is from my Simple Stories Summer Fresh pad and the black polka dot is from Jenni Bowlin called Haven. I added a flag banner with the sentiment and a red button tied with twine to finish it off.

TSG Birthday Celebration Day 3

What is this five posts in less than a week? Yep. I told you I had a lot of stamping time this weekend! Been a long time since I have had this much free stamping time.

Day Three's challenge was an inspiration picture. I pulled out the My Little Friend set and got to work. I colored the little gnome with copics and then cut him out with a Spellbinders circle die. With the die still in place I drew a black circle around him. I used a scallop punch on some My Mind's Eye Nostalgia paper and then added a scalloped border with some pink pearls.

TSG Birthday Challenge Day 2

This is my day two challenge card for the TSG birthday challenge. The challenge was to make a birthday themed card or project for the man or boy in your life. I pulled out my Oh Crop set and got to work. I colored the images with copics and then fussy cut them out. I love the cow! (Must be the little bit of Nebraska I still have left in me!) And what is a farmer without a cow?
I cut the sky and pasture with a die and then inked the edges to give some dimension. The clouds were cut with a die and then embossed. It is hard to tell from the picture but I popped the farmer, cow, and barn up with pop dots. I used the "Oh crop I almost forgot" sentiment on the inside.

TSG Birthday Challenge Day 4

Believe it or not I was able to complete all five challenges for There She Goes Birthday Celebration. I have been able to spend quite a bit of time in my stamp room over the weekend, it has been a while since I have been able to do that. Each day a different challenge was posted so I will post all five of the cards I made. If you haven't figured out yet I won't be posting them in the order the challenges were given, just in case you are keeping track!
The challenge for day four was to use banners on a birthday card. Easy peasy right? I pulled out my Scent-sational set and got inky. I colored the sweet little skunk with copics and then layered the image onto a scalloped oval die cut with a Spellbinders die. The banners were cut with a flag die and then folded over some twine. The patterned paper is Echo Park Hello Summer. Love the bright colors!
