My First Valentine

Not only is this my first Valentine's Day card for 2012, it is also my first entry into the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  If you'll remember one of my goals this year is to try more challenges. No better time to start than now.
I stamped the image from In Style Stamps called Patty Love. I colored her with copies (using my favorite color combo, pink and brown) and then added a little sparkle to her chain of hearts. I layered the image on to a Nestabilities heart circle. The two hearts in the corner are actually from the die. I added a pop of green to go with the Fancy Pants Hearts and Dots Bracket paper--left from last year. I used my new Sizzix embossing folder on the green card stock--got a feeling you will be seeing a lot of that embossing! I finished the whole thing off with some wonky zig zag stitches, I love how it ties it all together.
Thanks for stopping by!

Honey Bear

This has to be one of my favorite
Valentine's Day stamp sets. It is called
Honey Bear and is from The Cat's
Pajama's.
Our last name is Bear and for the longest time my wonderful hubby has called me Honey Bear.
I used Jen's sketch from I Heart 2 Stamp for the layout. I embossed PJ's honey pot onto green card stock and layered it onto an aqua base. (What's a bear without a honey pot, right?) I layered some Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine on another aqua base and then popped PJ up on a pink circle cut with my Nestabilities. I added some buttons in coordinating colors to finish it off.
Thanks for looking!

Teddie Bear

I have followed Elizabeth's blog for quite a while, she is the owner of Elzybell's Art Stamps. I placed my first order a few weeks ago and was not disappointed. The teddies are even cuter in real life than online and with the last name of Bear I am quite particular! The image is called Daisy Chain Teddie, reminds me of when I was a kid and chaining dandelions together.
The patterned paper is from the Fancy Pants Family Line this one is "Mother". I colored the image with copics, dotted the flower centers with liquid pearls and then colored the sky and grass with chalk (thanks for the tip Elizabeth). I cut the image out with a Nestablities die and layered it on top of another. The flowers and rhinestones are from Queen & Co. and the ribbon is from my stash. Thanks for looking!
