Just For You
I decided to make a shaped card for this adorable PJ image. I cut the brown card and the yellow and green layers with a Spellbinders labels eight. I inked the edges of the yellow and added dots with a cuttlebug folder to the green. I hand cut PJ out and popped him up with some dimensionals. I finished the card off with a button and some twine and then stamped the sentiment onto a Spellbinders lacey circles die.

Fa-Boo-Lous
I love the new Halloween set from Taylored Expressions! I sat down over the weekend and made a bunch of Halloween cards. Each one a little different, but simple and quick! Love it when that happens! On each card I colored the image with copics and then added some glitter and rhinestones. The black polka dot paper was laying on my desk--I think it is Jenni Bowlin but I am not certain.
I added some orange rhinestones to the buckles on the shoes and ran the green paper through my Sizzix with my Cuttlebug seeing spots embossing folder.
For this one I used a die to cut the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor paper and then added a layer of tulle. I finished the shoes with a green spica glitter pen.

S'Up Grill-Friend
This has got to be one of my favorite stamp sets this year! They are from the Alfresco set from Paper Smooches. You'll be seeing more of this set soon. I had never heard of Paper Smooches until I saw some of the Alfresco stamps on a blog. Instantly I knew they had to be mine. I have made two different cards with the S'Up Grill-Friend sentiment. The first one using patterned paper from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh pad. I inked the edges and then added the flag of patterned paper and the sentiment. I finished it with the gorgeous hamburger.
The second card was made with the same stamps, but instead of the picnicky red and white checks I used black, white and red. I added some spica glitter to the smoke and grill. The ribbon and black brad are from my stash.

Bridal Shower gift card holder
My husband's cousin is getting married in June. The bridal shower is out of town and I am not going to be able to go. I wanted to make a special card for the bride to be and just another simple gift card holder. I saw something like this recently on someone's blog and for the life of me can't find it now. The card actually slides into the holder with a frame cut out for the main image to show through. The gift card is tucked inside the card--wish I had pics of that!!!
The stamp is a digital image from The Digi Stamp Boutiques Cute Wedding Collection. I colored the image with copics and then layered the image onto pink and gray mats. I cut the pink corners with a new die from My Favorite Things and then added some pearls. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, leftover from Valentines day but works perfectly for this. I cut the frame with a Nestabilities die and then cut a smaller one in the holder. I finished it off with some baker's twine and a button.

Valentine's Day Box
I wanted to make something really special for my youngest daughter for Valentine's Day this year. It seems like she gets to see all the things I make as I am getting ready to mail them out to other people, so I think it is her turn. I made the box with my scor-pal and then used a Nestabilities die to cut the window out. I covered the window with clear acrylic and then used My Mind's Eye Love Me papers to decorate the top and bottom. I always make a test box with old paper I have on hand, gives me a chance to iron out all the kinks before using good, expensive paper. The hearts are felt that I cut out with the Heart Trio Cut Ups from The Cat's Pajamas. I added a few rhinestones for some extra sparkle.
Detail shot of the side.
I used stamps from The Cat's Pajamas to decorate the candy bar wraps.
Two clear acrylic boxes I made. I filled them with her favorite candy...Dove and Reese's.
The inside of the finished box.
Thanks so much for stopping by have a great Valentine's Day!

Cutie Pie
This is Gracie's card for the week. The cutie pie image and sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. Isn't it the cutest? I colored the pie with copies and added some sparkle to the steam with spica glitter pen. I used some of my new My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally patterned paper. MME has done it again, the Miss Caroline collection is to die for!!! I added some baker's twine and a button and then some wonky sewing to finish it off.
I stamped the sentiment on the onside and then added some more of the patterned paper and a little more sewing to finish it off. Cute and simple, love it! Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Fly Away
I pulled out my Take Off stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas for this very pink card. I colored the bunny with copics and then paper pieced the plane with polka dots from my We R Memory Keepers Love Struck papers. I cut the image out and then popped it up with pop dots after attaching the sentiment flag with baker's twine. I used a Cloud Border Cut Ups die from TCP and then ran it through my Cuttlebug with the seeing spots folder. I added some bright pink tulle (I don't remember it looking quite so bright in the store!) and a black button to finish it off.

Who Loves You, Baby?
This is a tag I made for a Valentine's Day gift. {I will post details about the gift next week!} The sentiment is from the Feeling Cupidy set from The Cat's Pajamas. I stamped it in Memento black ink and then used a spica glitter pen to go over "you". The heart cut outs are from the Heart Trio cut ups from The Cat's Pajamas. I used a white pen to add some details. I finished it off with some I love you ribbon tied off with bakers twine and some rhinestones.

Valentine Baker
If you are a long time follower of my blog you may recognize this little baker from last year. I love stamps that I can pull out year after year. This is from In Style Stamps called Patty Love. I guess this stamp could be for a birthday or Valentine's Day. I am using it for a Valentine's Day card. I colored her with copics and then added a bit of sparkle to her cupcake. I embossed the pink layer with a Sizzix Valentine #4 folder. The patterned paper is more of the WRMK Love Struck pad. I finished it off with some baker's twine and a big, pink button.

Clowning Around
Here is the second card I am sending to Gracie.
The stamp set is Clowning Around from The Cat's Pajamas. The penguins seem to be having a great time!
I colored the image with copics and added some spica glitter highlights. I layered the image onto an inverted circle die cut with Nestabilities. The patterned paper is from the October Afternoon Campfire collection. I used my new Fiskars Jester punch for the red card stock and then added some bright blue bakers twine. I added some bright rhinestones to finish it off.
Can't wait to get this in the mail!

Giving Thanks
It seems like every year I have intentions of making Thanksgiving cards. Just a few for family that we won't see over the holiday. This year I actually got them made--not with the stamp set I had ordered specifically for Thanksgiving cards. The important thing to remember is that I got them done.
I strayed a little bit out of my comfort box and used some non-traditional colors and went with a sentiment only card, but I love the finished product. The stamp is from an old Unity Stamp Co. set called Simple Blessings that had yet to be inked up. I used a couple of different My Mind's Eye patterned papers for these two cards. I kept both cards simple with baker's twine and ribbon and a couple of pearls on one and black rhinestones on the other. I love the clean and simple look. What do you think?

TCP Tuesday
I am just going to get this one in under the wire. This challenge was to "Hype the Type" using type as a focal point. I colored PJ with copics and added the white details with a gel pen. I layered the image onto a red scalloped rectangle panel. The snowflake and button were in my stash.
I cut the pennants out with a MFT Die and stamped JOY on them. They are attached with pop dots and some red bakers twine. I love PJ and am so happy with how this card turned out, another one to add to the slowly growing pile of completed Christmas cards. Thanks so much for stopping by!
